Laura is the co-founder of Electric Collectiv.
She landed her first major acting role aged twelve in Terry Gilliam’s “The Brothers Grimm” opposite Matt Damon and Heath Ledger.
She was then spotted by Casting Director Doreen Jones for the lead role role of Penny Phillips in Prime Suspect: The Final Act opposite Helen Mirren. Critics from the Los Angeles Times and New York Daily news described her performance as “Thoroughly impressive.” and “Phenomenal.”
During the last twenty years Laura has enjoyed a diverse career working with the BBC, Kudos, ITV, Sky Atlantic, Sky One, Warner Brothers, as well with independent filmmakers.
Her stage work includes Zonal (Lyric, Hammersmith), Creaks & Moans (Riverside Studios) with The Young Blood Theatre Company and playing Strindberg’s Julie in Miss Julie (The Etcetera Theatre) with the Buckland Theatre Company.
Laura’s training includes Meisner, improvisation and ongoing one-to-one coaching with Leon Yianni. She has studied with The Burbank Meisner Centre, Actors Club, The Young Blood Theatre Company, Monobox, The Actors Temple, Imprology, Gary Condes, The Free Association, The Butterfly Theatre Company and Monkey Toast. In addition, to compliment her acting work, Laura qualified as an Alexander Technique Teacher in 2018 (The Alexander Technique Teacher training school) and Yoga Teacher (RYT 200)
What makes Laura’s work exciting is the depth to which she is prepared to go as well as the left field approach she often takes. Always different, daring and committed, Laura’s passion is to create unique, truthful characters from drama to comedy and everything in between.
